Ride for Jacob

Ride for Jacob - My worldly travelled thermos got upgraded this weekend.

This past weekend, I had the privilege of being part of the Ride for Jacob. For information on the ride, please see my friends website here. He and his wife Phylis lost their son Jacob ~ year ago. I’ll just say I can’t imagine. It was important to me to be there and I am thankful my life aligned and made it possible. It was a real privilege and I am thankful for such a fine group of riders on an amazing day & route.

I made a game day decision to ride my WHB Ripper. I used to call it the Flat Bar Ripper, but with the weird ass bars installed on this bike now, I don’t think I can call it that. And side note, it felt real good on the ride, especially with some of the chonky, Iowa gravel.
