2 Rides. 2 Sides.
Morning Light
I am a week out from my knee surgery and I have a lot to do. I am trying to keep the mind looking forward and at the same time, finish up some things that I would have to put aside for a bit.
I am so thankful that I can still ride my bike while I am awaiting my surgery. I don’t know what I’d do without it. My physical fitness has really declined the last month. With that, my mental fitness has taken a few knocks too. Riding is once again my savior.
Blue and Gold - I never tire of the morning light along the MN River Valley
I wrote in my journal this week that I had to get out and see the sunrise. I managed to get out both Saturday and Sunday to see the sunrise. I haven’t had a double sunrise weekend for a long, long time. It did not disappoint.
The Tumbleweed Sunliner has been my favorite bike of choice and got the nod for both rides.
I’ve been trying to carry and use my camera a lot more. It’s been brining me a lot of joy of late. I just love finding and capturing little moments that are really just for me.
I especially love riding in the autumn colors. The morning light on the river bottoms along with the colors really was just what I needed.
I think I have taken and shared about a thousand images from under the bridge on the MN River Valley. I love the contrast of the concrete and the native environment of the refuge. I just loved the contrast of the graffiti, harsh light and the geese.
Another under the bridge shot.
So you are probably thinking, I get the two rides. What do the two sides mean? Well…I am working on a fresh build. I want to finish it this week so that when I get to recovery after surgery, I can ride this rig. Making an extended gas tank style bag for the build. Stay tuned…..
Two sides
I must say that I am very pleased with the head space that I have gotten myself into this week. I think I am over my little pitty party related to the decision around my surgery. Once again, the bike and creativity are pulling me through. Here is one more shot, another signature style for me. I never tire of the blurred riding shots. Never.
This is the kind of image I see when I close my eyes and dream about riding. I love love love this feeling.
