I Ain’t Dead Yet

That one day in Two Harbors…….

In the movies, having a whisky is often shown after a big successful day or after really crummy one. The past two weeks for me started with an unexpected and simple message followed by loads of ups and downs. Massive highs and lowest of lows.

Many folks get to my age and start counting down to retirement. I’ll admit, at one point I was there too. But events like what happened in my life this past few weeks remind me that despite where I am at in the age spectrum of life, anything can happen and you are never too old to do new (and sometimes big) things. I have spent the past 5 years re inventing myself. Who knows what the next 5, 10 or 15 years will bring me and what things will cross my path. Based on this past few weeks, who knows. In the end, regardless of the event or outcome, is that I realized “I Ain’t Dead Yet!”

So given I don’t like whisky much, I am going to go for a bike ride. Bike rides are similar in that sometimes you go on them to recharge after a really crappy day or event and sometimes you go on them to celebrate. Sometimes a bike ride just wakes you up. Which one of those is it for me? Does it really matter? Nope.

Time to head out.
