The Pre Heywood Ride

I had some friends in town to ride the Heywood with me. I took the day off. Our plan was simple, hang out, ride bikes, eat good food, drink coffee, take a few pics and then ride and repeat. Sadly, the weather didn’t cooperate on all of which we had planned for the Pre Heywood, but it did end up with an evening ride to a beautiful farm with beautiful people for dinner and a party. It was a great time and something I will look forward to every year!

I spent most of my time hanging out and eating some fantastic food provided by the hosts (Thank you!) but I did take a gander at all the bikes that were ridden to the pre event. Sadly I didn’t get all of them. I also left one out intentionally as it wasn’t actually ridden out to the farm and was simply strategically set up and placed to be spy photo’d. No dirt. No dust. No pedals. Didn’t deserve to make the gallery. Trust me, you’ll see it sometime soon.

But the rest were fun and wonderful as their owners. Here are the ones I captured. No posed shots. No re positioning with drive side out. Just some pics as they were parked at the farm. I will say I am bummed I missed Fuller’s Gen 1 Salsa Fargo. Damnit. Oh well….I’ll have to capture that one some other time. And the chicken’s were checking out all the bikes too!

Let me know what your fav is in comments!

I’ll post a bit more about the ride tomorrow or Wednesday. But I will say this, due to my physical condition and the terrible conditions, it was the hardest 57-58 mile event I have ever done. I feel great about getting that one done and in the books!
