WHB - My Flat Bar Ripper!
I finally got out to ride. I finally got to breathe in the country air. I finally got to take some pictures. I simply cannot replicate the good that comes from riding, thinking, working through the issues/challenges in my brain and creating imagery. It is one of the things that truly re centers me and gives me great joy.
I rode my re built WH Bradford Adventure Cross. This bike got shoved to the side last year. It was not on purpose. It just took some time to really get this rig the way I wanted it. I am not sure any bike in my collection has taken this long to truly get it set up and working the way wanted and intended. This is partly because this bike is such a unicorn. While I am not done with all the changes to my initial build yet, I am ready to share with you an updated look and direction for this rig.
My main changes are in the fit. I slighltly repositioned my body with a set back seat post, a shorter taller stem and a new Whisky Parts Co Scully bar. I also have a new Whisky MCX carbon fork that offers better clearance and slightly slackens the aggressive head angle and slows the steering. The new bar and fork are significantly lighter too and that’s noticeable. Also note, I changed the vinyl decals to something simple and clean. I dig the look a lot! I’ll have more to come on the overall build spec as I finish off this rig.
Here are a few B& W shots from the weekend ride as well as one final shot in the sun and pine needles, my favorite!
Drop me a comment if you have a question on this build.
