Finding It
After a rough spring, I am finding my way. After months with a lack of inspiration and little riding, I am not giving up and continue to search and seek. Am I finding it ? This weekend’s ride suggests I am on the right track. Finally!
I set out early with one goal in mind, get to Martha’s Bakery in Dundas, MN. It is one of my favorite routes. Last year by this time of the year, I had ridden this route something like 5 or 6 times. This year, it would be my first so I didn’t put time or speed expectations on myself. Rather, I said I was going to take whatever time it took and focus on intentionally taking some pictures. I also planned on going down a few side offshoots from the regular route.
I also made a last minute bike change. I have have really been loving my WHB Adventure Cross. It’s finally right. It’s just so good right now and I’m having so much fun riding it. It was the perfect set up for the day and the experience.
So, let’s review….Bike - Check, Food - Check, Route - Check, and Camera - Check!
I hit the road. Took me much of the day with all my stops. I ran into my friend Marty cleaning and building trail in Northfield, MN and stopped in to see Ben at Heath Creek Cycles too. My last 25 miles were a strong tail wind too. Yeehaw! It could not have been a more perfect day.
Here are few pics of the day. Hope you enjoy!

And one final shot of the day. I saw this rig when I left Heath Creek Cycles in Northfield. I couldn’t resist stopping to snap a pic.
